Joining the Rotaract Club of Nasik Youth Force (RNYF) was one of the most rewarding decisions I've ever made. Being part of an organization that aims to make a positive impact on the community is fulfilling and challenging at the same time.
During my first year as co-head of club services, the COVID-19 pandemic made physical interactions difficult. Despite this, we organized several activities:
We worked tirelessly through online channels to continue our mission of helping those in need.
In my second year as Joint Secretary, we donated to underprivileged villages in Kharoli, Dhadoshi, and Samundi for Diwali. Collecting money, food, and clothes took a week, but seeing the smiles on recipients' faces made it worthwhile.
We partnered with Rotary International to conduct a blood sugar level screening. Our goal was to test 100 people in one day, but we exceeded expectations by testing 200 individuals.
I hosted the first Alliance Cup cricket tournament to encourage inter-Rotaract engagement and build relationships between different clubs.
Even after moving to Boston, I continued my involvement by joining Boston Rotaract. Being part of an NGO has taught me the importance of teamwork, leadership, and compassion.
